NOTE:
-- If you are a new student, and have not gone through the Password Reset procedure, you will not be able to log in. To reset your password, go to the password reset page and enter your username and SMC ID number as your password, then choose a secure password.
-- Most problems logging into Blackboard seem to be resolved by going through the Password Reset Process, described in detail in this PDF document.

BLACKBOARD MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Blackboard will be subject to planned maintenance outages from 6:00 AM to 10:00AM on Sunday mornings. Typically, this will happen once a month. Typically, Blackboard will be available again by 9:00 AM. We will post a system announcement a week ahead of time. This service time will enable regular patches and upgrades of the system, and hence better service.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

IN-CLASS DEMONSTRATIONS OF BLACKBOARD
Instructional Technology support offers to the faculty in class demonstrations of BlackBoard. One of the members of the Instructional Technology team will attend a class and give a short 15 minute demonstration on BlackBoard. They will present an overview of Blackboard to the students, test to confirm their account works and answer any question your students might have.
